It is important to remember we have a God who loves and cares for us. He has told us, ‘Do not fear, for I am with you’ (Isaiah 41:10).

We can have courage when faced with the fear of the unknown, because we trust in an all-knowing God who has promised to be with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9).

Last month I wondered whether and when we would be able to resume worship in St St Luke's Church building, and what that worship would look like.

I’m pleased to be able to report a measure of success, even if it is not the same as what we have been used to.

Each week since 12th July we have held a Sunday Morning Worship service at 10.00am. Because of “social distancing” we are currently restricted to 30 individuals or households. However we haven’t yet reached that ceiling, as some members of our congregation are either “shielding” or staying safe at home. The service is still available to watch online each week.

St Luke's Church building is also open once a week on Wednesday afternoons for individual prayer from 2.00-4.00pm.

Everyone is welcome to come and we will be delighted to see you! (But you mustn't enter the building if you or anyone in your household feel unwell or are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19).

If you are not able to come to church yourself but would like someone to say a prayer for you or your family please text your request to 07419 989594 or email it to stlukesmorton@gmail.com and we will pray for you. Or if you don’t have access to text or email, please ring..
