Welcome to St Luke’s, the parish church for the village of East Morton and the surrounding area. St Luke’s brings together a wide variety of people who want to celebrate the goodness of God and learn more about following in the way of Jesus.
Who's Who at St Luke's
The ministry team at St Luke's is shared with the parish of St Mary's, Riddlesden and is made up of the Vicar, Rev'd Canon Tony Walker; our Curate, Rev'd Gareth Howles; plus two Readers, Ruth Copping and Sal Browning, and our Reader-in-training Cathy Thornton. Rev'd Jenny Ramsden and Rev'd Andrew Tawn take services from time to time. Their work is assisted by the church wardens and many fantastic volunteers.
Our administrator is Lee Senior; he can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tony Walker is the Vicar and in charge of the Ministry team. He is based at the Vicarage at Riddlesden and regularly takes services at both St Luke's and St Mary's.
Ruth Copping is our other Reader. She is mainly based at St Mary's, Riddlesden but sometimes leads services at St Luke's.
Jenny Ramsden used to be our Curate. She now works part-time as the Interfaith Adviser for the Bishop of Leeds, and part-time as a Faith to Faith worker at the Touchstone Centre in Bradford. She worships with us on Sundays whenever she is free!
Gareth Howles is our Curate. He shares his time equally between St Luke's and St Mary's.
Sal Browning is one of our Readers and helps with "Tonic" on Sunday mornings at 11.15am.
